Great article from AdAge about how subtle the product placement is in Wall-E, and how this is the future of cinematic product placements. The movie subtly pays homage to Apple - not surprising considering Steve Jobs was the CEO of Pixar for 20 years and most of it's employees are Apple Evangelists. VERY subliminal stuff going on in this movie.

"My first thought when I watched the movie with my kids and I heard that Mac boot tone and whole audience laughed...was that it's so subtle, it's almost indoctrinating. That 600 years from now there's nothing of value on the Earth, but there's the Mac boot tone."
